The 10-Minute Weekly Fitness Review (Refyuel Checklist)
A simple weekly review for training, nutrition, and body weight - the same accountability loop Refyuel Health OS is built around.
In short
Every 2-4 weeks, spend 10 minutes checking completed workouts, strength trends, average protein and calories, and weight direction. Change one variable at a time - usually calories or consistency, not your entire program.
Weekly reviews are where fitness apps earn their keep. Not on day one - on week three, when motivation is normal and data tells the truth.
This is the review loop Refyuel Health OS is designed around.
When to review
- Minimum: every 4 weeks
- During fat loss or a push phase: every 2 weeks
- Never: daily panic over one scale reading
Pick a fixed day - Sunday evening or Monday morning - and keep it short.
The 10-minute checklist
### 1. Training consistency (2 minutes)
- Planned sessions vs completed sessions
- Missed days: one-off or a pattern?
- Key lifts: reps and load vs last review
If sessions slipped, fix the schedule before you fix macros.
### 2. Nutrition averages (3 minutes)
- Average daily calories vs target
- Average protein vs target
- Logging gaps: whole days missing or just weekends?
Use your TDEE and macro targets as reference, not guilt.
### 3. Weight trend (2 minutes)
- 7-day average vs prior 7-day average
- Direction matches goal? (down for fat loss, up for gain, stable for recomp)
See body composition goals beyond the scale.
### 4. Energy and recovery (1 minute)
- Sleep rough average
- Gym energy: normal, flat, or crushed?
- Soreness lasting too long?
Sometimes the fix is food or rest - not more volume.
### 5. One adjustment (2 minutes)
Change one thing:
| Situation | Try first |
|---|---|
| Fat loss stalled, training solid | -100 to -150 kcal or tighten logging |
| Strength flat, weight down | +100 to +200 kcal or check protein |
| Missed many sessions | Reduce plan to 3 days, protect the habit |
| Everything on track | Keep going - no tweak needed |
Why one app makes this faster
Split apps force you to export, screenshot, or remember. One loop shows:
- Sessions completed
- Macro averages
- Weight trend
- Lift history
That is the difference between a review you do and a review you skip.
